Nintendo Indie World Showcase Revealed This Week

Just a week after their July 31st Partner Showcase, Nintendo has announced another direct: an Indie World, the first one of the Switch 2 era!

Fans can tune in at 9:00am ET on August 7th for an approximately 15-minute show focusing on announcements and news for indie games on the Switch 1 and Switch 2. You can watch the presentation here when it's live.

Fans of the highly-anticipated Hollow Knight sequel Hollow Knight: Silksong should be especially excited for this presentation, as rumors that the metroidvania's release is imminent have been running wild.

It's already been confirmed that a demo will be playable at Gamescom from August 20th to August 24th, but one popular fan theory alleges that the game will release much sooner than that. Due to Silksong's lead developer William Pellen repeatedly tweeting about "purple air," with the hexcode for purple being #800800, or, 8/8, many believe the game's come out on August 8th, just one day after the Indie World showcase.

Only time will tell, however, so I'll be excitedly waiting on the edge of my proverbial seat for this August 7th indie world presentation!
